The application should detect the device normally. Try to power on the device and connect it to PC then go to Start > Run > devmgmt.msc and make sure the device is properly installed because connection problems are usually related to driver installation. If you find the device in the list, right click it and select Uninstall then unplug it, reboot the computer and plug it back. Let Windows install the drivers again and start Naviextras Toolbox. You can download a new version of the software from the official website.
I'm trying to use Find Route in my PDA, but as soon as I press the icon, a window pops up saying that a fatal error has occurred. I need to power off to get back in the menu. What can I do?

In order to fix the problem, I suggest you update the firmware of your PDA device. Since you can't do this through Naviextras Toolbox, you will need to visit a local service center or to contact the manufacturer of your product.
